The National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company discussed the status of fuel supply and distribution in the country at a recent meeting of the Parliament's Article 90 Commission. Hojjatoleslam Nasrollah Pejmanfar, the head of the Article 90 Commission, emphasized that there is no shortage of fuel and that managing fuel consumption is a priority.
Meeting the needs of the people and managing fuel consumption
Hojjatoleslam Nasrollah Pejmanfar stated at this meeting: "The National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company has been able to meet the people's needs in the fuel sector while managing the issue of importing fuel at high costs and the smuggling of some of the country's fuel." He also referred to quarterly plans to convert high-consumption vehicles to dual-fuel and emphasized the need to facilitate the refueling process for the public.

Pricing system and transparency in gasoline consumption
Pejmanfar, referring to the different gasoline rates, added: "Part of the fuel is priced at 1,500 tomans, part at 3,000 tomans, and excess consumption is calculated at 10,000 tomans." He emphasized the importance of transparency in gasoline consumers at the third rate to identify which groups and vehicles have excess consumption.
Mohammad Sadegh Azimi Far, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, also mentioned the success in reducing the annual fuel consumption growth rate to zero, stating: "Our plan is to gradually achieve negative consumption growth and align the export trend with the government's targets towards zero." He also referred to fuel consumption management plans, stating that these initiatives will initially be implemented on a trial basis in certain areas.
Converting high-consumption vehicles to dual-fuel
Azimi Far further clarified: "Efforts are being made to achieve the conversion of 70,000 vehicles targeted by the end of the year." This action aims to alleviate the pressure caused by rising gasoline prices on drivers active in internet platforms and to prevent inflationary consequences in the transportation sector. In this regard, the payment of claims to centers converting high-consumption vehicles to dual-fuel will also be expedited.
In conclusion, Hojjatoleslam Pejmanfar emphasized that no restrictions will be imposed on the public, and we will strive to meet the fuel needs of those providing services to the people. This cooperation is essential for managing fuel consumption.
