Iran's crude oil production in 1404 increased by 10% compared to 1402, reaching its highest level in over seven years. This success is related to the management of Hamid Bord, the head of the Ministry of Oil and CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, and the implementation of development and maintenance projects.

Production Record Under Sanctions

In the context of sanctions and international pressures, every barrel of produced oil has gained strategic importance. Maintaining and increasing production capacity means defeating the enemies' strategy to limit the country's vital resources and strengthening diplomatic and economic bargaining power. In evaluating the performance of the first two years of the fourteenth government, a tangible and meaningful transformation in the upstream oil and gas sector of the country is observed.

Details of Production Capacity Increase

According to expert evaluations, the National Iranian Oil Company has registered historical records since the establishment of the fourteenth government, focusing on development projects and production maintenance plans. In 1404, the country's crude oil production grew by 230,000 barrels per day, reflecting a 3.5% increase compared to 1403. This increase signifies the highest crude oil production record since 1397.

Hamid Bord stated regarding this: "We managed to break the record of at least the past eight years, which is remarkable in its own right." He emphasized that during this period, more than 200,000 barrels have been added to the country's daily production capacity, and despite financial pressures, the National Iranian Oil Company has been able to maintain and enhance the country's foundational capacities.

Increase in Crude Oil Exports

The director of oil and gas production supervision at the National Iranian Oil Company, Reza Khailai, emphasized that the produced crude oil, in addition to supplying domestic refineries, has also been exported to target markets, experiencing a noticeable increase in exports in 1404 compared to previous years. This increase in production capacity, alongside meeting domestic needs, strengthens Iran's position in the global oil market.

Development Projects and Well Revitalization

Development projects in oil fields, especially in the West Karun region, are considered the main engine for oil production growth. Drilling and bringing 47 new wells into operation have significantly contributed to the increase in oil production. In the South Azadegan field, the commissioning of 28 new wells has added approximately 51,000 barrels to the production capacity daily.

The completion and commissioning of the central processing unit of Azadegan with a final capacity of 320,000 barrels is one of the key projects during this period, which has helped alleviate processing bottlenecks and provided the fundamental infrastructure to safeguard national interests in this joint field. These factors demonstrate the determination and will of the National Iranian Oil Company for sustainable development.
