Hornbeck Offshore Services has successfully secured a multi-year decommissioning contract with an unnamed operator in the North Sea. This contract has been awarded to Hornbeck's subsidiary, Helix Well Ops, and is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027. The firm term of this contract is anticipated to be two years, with options for extension also considered.
Details of the Decommissioning Contract
Under this contract, Hornbeck will carry out plug and abandon operations without a rig using the Well Enhancer or Seawell intervention vessels. The company will also provide a fully integrated solution that includes the vessel, well access system, ROVs, saturation diving, project management, and engineering services.
