DOF Group of Norway, a leading provider of marine services, has successfully extended its construction support vessel (CSV) contract for the Skandi Nomad. This extension was approved in October 2025 and will continue for one year, making the contract for this vessel valid until November 2027.

Contract Details

DOF announced on October 14 that this extension includes a 12-month option that has been officially added to the contract. Additionally, the company specified that the value of this extended contract is limited to under $15 million, which reflects the type of smaller and lower-scale contracts often used to meet specific needs in marine projects.

Specifications of the Skandi Nomad

The Skandi Nomad was built in 2010 and features an Ulstein 745 CDL design. This vessel is 90 meters long and can accommodate 60 people, making it suitable for various marine operations. Skandi Nomad is particularly active in marine construction and support projects in Guyana and is known for its capabilities in meeting complex marine needs.

This contract is considered an important step in strengthening DOF's collaborations in the Guyana region and demonstrates trust in the company to provide marine services. Given the economic constraints and sanction challenges faced by many marine companies, the extension of this contract could help ensure sustainable services and increase investment in this sector.
