Discovery of a Large Shipment of Smuggled Fuel
Brigadier General Morteza Abbasi, the police chief of Zanjan province, announced the discovery of one million and 32 liters of smuggled fuel during an inspection of a violating industrial unit. This action was part of an intensified campaign against the smuggling of petroleum products, and according to him, this shipment lacked any registration in the relevant systems.
Details of the Inspection and Fuel Discovery
Abbasi stated that the detectives of the Economic Security Police became aware of the illegal activities of this production unit through their intelligence capabilities, and after judicial coordination, they conducted an inspection of its warehouses. A significant amount of fuel was discovered during this inspection, which is considered illegal due to the lack of legal registration.
Value of the Shipment and Subsequent Actions
According to experts, the value of the discovered shipment is estimated to be over 1,500 billion rials. The main suspect in this case has been referred to judicial authorities, and legal proceedings are underway. The police chief of Zanjan province also urged citizens to report any news and reports related to smuggling, hoarding, and economic corruption crimes to the police.
Brigadier General Abbasi emphasized that citizen cooperation with the police in identifying and dealing with illegal activities is very effective and urged them to call 110 or report through the 30110 news center if they observe any suspicious cases.
