The Minab police, in a large-scale operation, succeeded in discovering and seizing over 110,000 liters of smuggled petroleum products. This operation was carried out as part of nationwide plans to combat fuel smuggling, during which 16 vehicles, including 15 light vehicles and one oil tanker, were confiscated.
Details of the Police Operation
Colonel Ali Youssefvand, the police chief of Minab, announced that police officers, while monitoring and controlling transportation routes, identified and stopped a truck carrying 45,000 liters of smuggled fuel. The value of this smuggled cargo is estimated to be over 2 billion and 205 million tomans.

In this operation, 15 light vehicles that were engaged in the unauthorized transportation of various fuels, including gasoline and diesel, were also identified and seized. The total amount of fuel discovered from these vehicles is estimated to be 65,000 liters.
Objectives and Consequences of the Police Action
The police chief of Minab emphasized that the police, with complete intelligence oversight and precise monitoring of transportation routes, will firmly confront any illegal activities that lead to fuel smuggling and the violation of public property rights. Additionally, the confiscated vehicles have been transferred to a parking lot, and the seized cargo has been handed over to the National Oil Products Distribution Company of the county.
Colonel Youssefvand concluded by stating that the goal of these actions, in addition to combating smugglers and preserving national assets, is to reduce road accidents caused by the movement of fuel-carrying vehicles. He urged citizens to cooperate with the police by reporting any suspicious activities through the number 110.
