Hamidreza Mohammad Hosseini Takhti, the Director General of Ports and Maritime Affairs of Hormozgan, announced that over 5 million tons of oil products have been exported from Shahid Rajaee Port in recent times. This export was carried out using 325 vessels and demonstrates the continuity of export activities under challenging economic conditions and sanctions.
Continued Exports Despite Sanctions
Mohammad Hosseini Takhti pointed out the unjust war and the intensification of economic restrictions and sanctions imposed by the U.S. government, emphasizing that the export process of the country's oil products has continued without interruption. He stated: "Despite the challenges in foreign trade, financial restrictions, and difficulties arising from sanctions, the flow of oil product exports has remained intact and related activities in this area have continued."
Strategic Location of Shahid Rajaee Port
Shahid Rajaee Port, as one of the most important gateways for imports and exports of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has a unique geographical position. This port is located at the closest point to the Strait of Hormuz and the entrance to the Persian Gulf, and due to its short distance from the main intercontinental shipping routes, it is situated at the intersection of the North-South transit corridor. These features give this port special importance and play a significant role in facilitating the country's export and import processes.
Overall, the continuity of oil product exports from Shahid Rajaee Port under difficult economic and sanction conditions demonstrates Iran's economic and commercial capabilities in facing international challenges. This can lead to the creation of new opportunities in trade and international cooperation, which in turn can help strengthen the country's economy.
