Responsibilities and Project Scope
Under this agreement, the consortium will be responsible for providing project management and engineering services, which include construction, subsea installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operational readiness. Monitoring health, safety, environment, and quality is also among the responsibilities of this consortium.
Work will take place at project sites in Angola as well as at international engineering centers related to the development. The Greater PAJ project includes five oil fields located up to 200 kilometers offshore Angola and at water depths of up to 2000 meters. These fields include Palas, Astra, and Juno in Block 31 and Urano and Dione in Block 31/21.
Production and FPSO Capacities
The development of this project will include 17 subsea wells, comprising 10 production wells and 7 water injection wells, which will connect to a new FPSO capable of processing 95,000 barrels of oil per day. Additionally, this FPSO will have a gas export capacity of 70 million cubic feet per day, with gas being sent to Angola's LNG facilities. First oil production is expected to begin in the first half of 2029.
