Ali Mohammad Pourreza, the CEO of Bidboland Gas Refinery, announced the completion of the annual major repairs at the refinery ahead of the cold season. He stated that if sufficient feedstock is provided, there is a possibility of increasing production to the nominal capacity of the facility.
Repairs and Optimization of Equipment
According to Pourreza, the implementation of optimization programs at this refinery has also resulted in savings of 500,000 cubic meters of natural gas and a reduction of one thousand tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Process equipment, dehydration units, compressors, instrumentation systems, and the refinery's transfer lines have undergone technical inspection and preventive and major repairs during the winter preparation operations.

The Importance of Sustaining Production in Cold Months
Pourreza emphasized the importance of sustaining gas production during the cold months of the year, stating: This operation was carried out to reduce unexpected shutdowns and maintain the operational readiness of the refinery. Continuous monitoring of equipment, management of spare parts, and forecasting emergency scenarios have also been prioritized to keep the facility prepared for activities in the cold season.
The CEO of Bidboland Gas Refinery also announced that the major repair operations were completed without incident under the supervision of the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) unit and adherence to safe work permit processes. He stressed that achieving maximum production capacity depends on the supply of feedstock required by the refinery.
In recent years, increased production has contributed to supplying feedstock for downstream industries and generating foreign currency for the country, and Pourreza emphasized the readiness of operational forces and shift workers to maintain production flow in winter.
Ultimately, with the completion of major repairs, this refinery is prepared for operation in the cold months of the year; however, achieving production at the highest nominal capacity still depends on the amount of feedstock received and the operational conditions of the facility.
