Saeed Pakseresht, the integrated planning manager of the National Iranian Gas Company, announced that the return of the lost capacity of South Pars refineries has accelerated due to recent attacks on gas facilities. He referred to the daily output of 230 million cubic meters from the country's gas refining capacity, considering this incident as one of the largest attacks on gas facilities in the world.

Reconstruction and Replication Plans

Pakseresht clarified that two sections have been defined for the reconstruction plans from the outset: first, early replication to mitigate the consequences of the incident and quickly restore part of the refining capacity to the production cycle, and second, the complete reconstruction of damaged facilities, which requires more time. He added that the early replication program has been designed in four phases, and so far, two phases have been completed, and part of the lost capacity has returned to the national gas network.

Reconstruction Phase Scheduling

The integrated planning manager of the National Iranian Gas Company also noted that the third phase of this program will be operational according to the planned schedule. Regarding the fourth phase, which was initially scheduled for May 2027, efforts are being made to return part of the capacity to the production cycle before the onset of the cold months of the year.

Pakseresht, referring to the complete reconstruction of the refineries, said: "The responsibility for the reconstruction of the third and fifth South Pars refineries has been assigned to the National Iranian Oil Company, while the reconstruction of the fourth and sixth refineries has been assigned to the National Iranian Gas Company." This action has been taken to utilize all capacities of the oil and gas industry to carry out reconstruction operations in the shortest possible time.

Crisis Management Experiences

He discussed the experience gained from the recent attacks on the country's gas facilities, stating: Although various plans and measures had been anticipated for readiness in crisis situations, this time the gas industry was tested in a real field, and valuable experience was gained in crisis management. Pakseresht emphasized that utilizing past lessons and previous experiences played a significant role in managing this crisis.

The integrated planning manager of the National Iranian Gas Company concluded by stressing the necessity of keeping knowledge and technology up to date in the gas industry, stating: "The gas industry of Iran is mature, professional, and dynamic, and maintaining this position requires continuous utilization of the latest scientific and technological achievements."
