Iran's electrical equipment exports have decreased to approximately 295 million dollars in the first 10 months of 1404. Keyvan Joudi, Secretary General of the Federation of Energy Exports and Related Industries of Iran, pointed to the unfavorable economic and industrial conditions in the country and stated: "The state of the country's economy and industry has faced recession due to events and challenges from last year, and this situation has also affected the exhibition and export industry."

Decline in Exports and Industrial Challenges

Joudi, referring to the country's foreign trade statistics, added: In the first 10 months of 1404, the country's non-oil exports were about 45 billion dollars and imports were about 49 billion dollars. Meanwhile, in the same period of 1403, exports were about 48 billion dollars and imports were about 58 billion dollars. Furthermore, statistics show that exports in the first 10 months of 1404 have faced a decline of about 6 percent compared to the same period last year.

Federation of Energy Exports Programs

The Secretary General of the Federation of Energy Exports and Related Industries of Iran continued: "Exports of electrical equipment in the first 10 months of 1402 were about 315 million dollars, which reached about 318 million dollars in the first 10 months of 1403, but decreased to about 295 million dollars in the first 10 months of 1404." He also referred to the various challenges faced by the electricity and energy industry and emphasized that infrastructure development, productivity improvement, and project financing should be prioritized.

Need for a Change in Approach at Exhibitions

Joudi emphasized that exhibitions should become a place for developing business communications and transferring knowledge. He explained this by saying: "Given the current conditions, the exhibition should become a place for forming new collaborations." According to him, the Federation of Energy Exports and Related Industries of Iran will be present alongside the exhibition as a strategic umbrella organization backed by its members.

Support from the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Oil

Joudi also announced the support of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Oil for the exhibitions and said: "This year has so far been accompanied by increasing recession, and overcoming these conditions requires cooperation and collaboration from all industry players so that we can hold the exhibition in a more productive manner." Given that the exhibition has moved beyond a purely domestic scope and invitations have been extended to target countries for participation, efforts are being made to ensure that this event not only showcases domestic capabilities but also lays the groundwork for developing business communications and new collaborations in the energy sector.
