Fuel Consumption Management Plans
The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company further referred to a series of plans for managing and clarifying fuel consumption, stating that these plans will be implemented in various phases and that issues will be resolved based on feedback. This is a scientific approach that is applied globally.
Azimi Far also addressed the status of emergency cards at fuel stations, stating that currently about 40% of the country's gasoline consumption is done using these cards, which has two main issues: first, a lack of transparency in refueling, and second, the monopolistic control created by these cards.
Liquid Fuel Supply for Power Plants in the Cold Season
He also commented on the condition of fuel reservoirs for power plants, stating that due to the intensified gas imbalance this winter, the supply of liquid fuel to power plants has been considered a sustainable solution for the country's electricity network during the cold season. Azimi Far emphasized the synergy between the Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Energy, adding that the stored power plant diesel is a suitable backup for entering the cold season.
Ultimately, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company expressed hope for successfully passing through this winter, emphasizing that this requires cooperation from all sectors in the field of gas consumption, and it is estimated that with a 10% optimization of consumption, sustainable gas supply for various sectors will be possible.
