Previous Developments in Transworld's Fleet
This new purchase follows several recent sales by Transworld. In September, the company agreed to sell the tanker TBC Kailash, built in 2011 with a capacity of 35,152 tons, to Mandarine Ocean for $9.25 million. This transaction is part of a series of sales of container tankers to Avana Logistek, controlled by DP World.
In 2021, Transworld retained its ship ownership and dry bulk trading segments by acquiring the coastal and feeder operations of its group from Unifeeder. These developments indicate key changes in the structure of the company's fleet as it seeks to improve performance and increase efficiency.
