Hamid Bord, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, reported on the threats against oil facilities while referring to the current state of the oil industry in the country. In his press conference, he emphasized that the oil industry, as an integral part of the country's macro economy, has always fulfilled its duty correctly during historical crossroads. Bord stated that the oil industry is currently in an unequal war.

Enemy plans to strike oil facilities

The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company clarified that enemies have plans for military and civilian infrastructures, and based on available information, they have also considered actions to strike oil facilities. These actions may include bombing facilities, unjust sanctions, and maritime blockades. However, Bord referred to the jihadist and scientific efforts of his colleagues at the National Iranian Oil Company, stating that these individuals have successfully continued their activities despite the difficulties.

Maintaining oil production under difficult conditions

The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company referred to the increase in oil production over the past two years, stating that the record for oil production over the past eight years has been broken, resulting in an increase of more than 200,000 barrels. He also mentioned the problems some fields are facing due to the war and emphasized that development plans are being pursued carefully.

Bord dismissed rumors regarding pipe bursts and tank explosions due to maritime blockades, considering these analyses impractical and unscientific, and stated: "This issue is completely manageable, and our operational men have managed this situation well." He also announced stable production and the continuation of oil exports.

The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company further addressed the issue of energy conservation and urged the public to help the oil industry by conserving 10 to 15 percent of energy consumption during tough days. He added that some refineries have suffered damage due to the war, and this conservation could ensure the continuity of energy supply.

Bord also referred to the gas flare collection project, stating that the collection of these gases will reach 21 million cubic meters by the end of the year. He announced a 300 percent increase in the collection of associated gases and emphasized that more projects are underway that will help collect 200 million cubic feet of associated gas.
