The 473 trillion loss in the industry in 2025 due to energy imbalance is recognized as a major challenge for producers. Ezzatollah Zaeri, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, has recently referred to this issue and emphasized the importance of supporting production units. This situation is particularly evident in the difficult economic conditions and the war that some production units are facing.

Estimation of Industrial Loss

Zaeri stated that the estimated loss in the industrial sector due to energy imbalance in 2024 was about 303 trillion, and this figure will rise to 473 trillion in 2025. Thus, the total loss in the industry over these two years will reach 776 trillion. These figures indicate the serious challenges that the industrial sector is facing and highlight the necessity of adopting effective measures to support production.

Government Support Measures

In order to reduce these challenges, the government has approved a new 100 trillion credit line. Zaeri emphasized that the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is working to provide this credit to the production sector as quickly as possible. These resources will be allocated to production units on a priority basis, demonstrating the government's determination to support producers and maintain employment in this sector.

Zaeri also referred to production statistics in various fields and said: "Despite emergency conditions, the production sector has been able to continue its activities. For example, petrochemical production has reached about 139 million tons, cement to 135 million tons, and steel to 62 million tons. Additionally, industrial product exports have been around 38 billion dollars." These figures emphasize the continuous efforts of the industrial sector to maintain activities in difficult economic conditions.

Overall, energy imbalance and the resulting losses are presented as an undeniable reality in the country's economy and require immediate attention and measures. The government is trying to reduce these challenges through supportive actions and funding to provide a suitable environment for the growth and development of the industrial sector.
