Tankers carrying nearly six million barrels of Iranian crude oil are crossing the Atlantic Ocean towards the United States. This oil shipment, estimated to be worth around $600 million, is part of recent developments in Iran's oil industry.
Seizure and Route of the Tankers
The tanker tracking institute "TankerTrackers" has reported that this volume of seized oil is moving "quietly" towards the shores of the United States. Information obtained from the energy information company "Kpler" indicates that three tankers, Majestic X, Tiffany, and Lenore, which collectively carry about 5.9 million barrels of Iranian crude oil, are currently in the Atlantic Ocean.

The two tankers, "Majestic X" and "Tiffany," have been spotted near the northern coast of Brazil. These two tankers were seized by the U.S. in April after loading Iranian oil. Additionally, the tanker "Lenore," which was seized in June in the Indian Ocean, entered the Atlantic Ocean from the Cape Horn route on September 22.
Conflicting Reports About the Final Destination
Various reports have been published regarding the final destination of these tankers. While news agencies have pointed out the lack of registration for the final destination of the tankers, TankerTrackers believes that the shipments are heading towards the United States. The tanker "Majestic X" had briefly registered the U.S. as its destination from July 31 to August 2.
According to some information, it appears that the tankers "Majestic X" and "Tiffany" are heading towards Galveston in Texas. The total value of this oil shipment indicates the economic dimensions of this matter. The U.S. considers the seizure of tankers related to the export of oil from the Islamic Republic as part of operations to disrupt sanctioned networks.
These developments come at a time when Iranian oil exports have significantly decreased in recent months. Recent reports indicate that the loading of Iranian crude oil has fallen from about two million barrels per day to around 220,000 to 255,000 barrels per day, and Iran's floating reserves outside the blockade have also sharply declined.
