Sediqa Khazaei today (Monday, October 19) referred to the challenges of energy imbalance in the country at the "Mehrbano, Energy Ambassadors" campaign and said: Sanctions, increased consumption, and industrial development are effective factors on the current energy situation. Additionally, damage to gas facilities due to war has affected part of the country's production capacity; however, the expertise and capabilities of oil industry specialists have been effective in returning a significant portion of production to the network.
The Role of Women in Energy Consumption Management
The Deputy for Management Development and Human Capital of the Ministry of Oil emphasized the necessity of consumption management during the cold months of the year, stating: Despite the efforts made, we are still facing energy imbalance, and all sectors must cooperate to ensure the heating of homes and the continuity of industrial activities. Achieving this goal requires public participation and continuous cultural development.
Khazaei also referred to the role of female employees in the oil industry during difficult conditions and wartime, adding: Women specialists in this industry, in addition to fulfilling their professional responsibilities, also play an important role in strengthening social and national resilience. The presence of capable women in specialized and managerial fields should be strengthened based on their competencies and expertise.
Family Participation in the "Mehrbano, Energy Ambassadors" Campaign
She stated that the scope of the "Mehrbano, Energy Ambassadors" campaign should extend beyond female employees, saying: The spouses of employees, families of the oil industry, and retirees can also play an effective role in promoting the culture of optimizing energy consumption. The spouses of employees, due to their close understanding of the working conditions of colleagues in operational areas, can convey the message of responsibility in energy consumption to families.
Khazaei emphasized the necessity of avoiding temporary measures and said: To create sustainable change in consumer behavior, cooperation among various sectors of the oil industry should be pursued in the form of memorandums of understanding and structured programs. Designing appropriate incentives for greater family participation, especially for women, can increase public awareness.
She concluded by stating: Networking among campaign registrants and holding continuous meetings are other essential actions. With long-term planning and lasting cultural development, greater preparedness for managing gas consumption in winter can be created, and alongside helping to ensure sustainable energy for households, the continuity of industrial activities can also be supported.
