Saeed Tavakoli emphasized the ongoing energy imbalance in the country during the Mahbano campaign ceremony, which was held today (Tuesday, October 27). He stated that energy imbalance is a chronic issue that existed even before the onset of conflicts and the damages caused by war, complicating the management of energy supply and consumption.

Consumption management; an accessible solution for reducing imbalance

Tavakoli pointed to optimizing consumption as one of the effective solutions for managing energy imbalance and added that changing consumption patterns can help reduce pressure on the network in the short term. This is particularly important in the residential sector, which accounts for a significant share of the country's energy consumption.

He also referred to the high share of consumption in the residential sector and said that if the chain of consumption reduction is established in the residential body of the country, its effects will be visible at the national level. Even a 10% reduction in high-consumption provinces can help better manage gas supply conditions and increase network stability.

Development of the Mahbano campaign and the role of women

The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company, referring to the goals of the Mahbano campaign, said: This program was created to strengthen the culture of optimal consumption and increase social participation in energy management. Tavakoli emphasized that there are no restrictions on women's participation in this campaign, and all women in the country can register on this platform.

He also pointed to the importance of women's roles in families and society, stating that women can play a role in shaping sustainable behaviors by conveying educational messages and promoting consumption management strategies. This program should become a widespread movement, and all women in the country should join it.

In conclusion, Tavakoli expressed gratitude to those involved in the Mahbano campaign, stating that cultural promotion in the energy sector should not mean imposing difficulties on people's lives and that effective results can be achieved through small changes in consumption patterns.
