Ali Soleimani, the CEO of the Ilam Gas Company, at the ceremony honoring and introducing the old and new heads of the Mehran gas district, pointed out the gas consumption statistics in the province, stating that over 91% of the people in Ilam have low gas consumption bills. This statistic reflects adherence to consumption patterns among the majority of the province's residents and can serve as a positive model for other regions of the country.
Stepwise Changes in Gas Consumption
Soleimani further referred to the stepwise changes in gas consumption and clarified that these changes are made to adhere to consumption patterns and prevent waste. According to him, in previous years, gas was calculated in 12 steps, but it has now been reduced to 4 steps. These changes do not necessarily mean that gas has become more expensive, but are aimed at optimizing consumption and ensuring fair use of gas.

He also pointed out the differences in consumption in various regions, saying: "For example, Iwan is in this step up to 450 cubic meters, but Mehran, which has a warmer climate, is only considered at 190 cubic meters." This action is taken to preserve national resources and prevent waste.
Challenges of Gas Theft and the Need for Increased Supervision
The CEO of the Ilam Gas Company continued by warning about the increase in gas theft in the province, urging local officials to pursue this matter more seriously. Soleimani emphasized that under the new stepwise conditions, unfortunately, gas theft and robbery have significantly increased, and it is necessary for authorities to take action against offenders.
At this ceremony, Haidar Nemati, the governor of Mehran, also appreciated the efforts of the CEO and staff of the Ilam Gas Company in providing gas under critical conditions. He referred to the airstrike on the Lizen Saleh Abad station and stated that with the efforts of the staff, this station was brought back online in less than 12 hours.
The governor of Mehran also mentioned the gas supply to deprived and hard-to-reach areas in the Mehran county and emphasized the importance of these efforts in serving the people. According to him, urban and rural areas of Mehran benefit from natural gas, and this county is considered one of the green areas in terms of gas supply development.
Finally, Soleimani stressed the necessity of optimal gas consumption and the cooperation of the people with the National Gas Company in ensuring fair use of this valuable resource, urging all citizens to work towards preserving this divine blessing.
