Barbin mentioned at the press conference that on September 11, 2023, a Russian destroyer named "Vice-Admiral Kulakov" fired two signal lights at a Danish military helicopter that was dangerously close to the aircraft. This incident has provoked strong reactions from Russian officials, and Barbin has called for necessary actions from the Danes to prevent such occurrences from happening again.

This is not the first time Russia has expressed dissatisfaction with Denmark's military activities near its ships.
