Reza Sepahvand, spokesperson for the Energy Commission of the Parliament, referring to the gas supply situation in the country, announced an increase in the gas imbalance by 130 million cubic meters compared to last year, which could lead to gas outages in industries. Sepahvand emphasized that liquid fuels, diesel, and fuel oil have been considered to compensate for this imbalance.

Gasoline Supply Situation

Sepahvand continued his remarks by addressing the gasoline supply situation, stating: "Currently, there is no shortage in gasoline supply, and stations that supply gasoline below the required amount have committed violations." He also announced that there are no price changes in the energy sector planned by the government and parliament until the end of the year.

Gas Imbalance and Its Impact on Industries

Sepahvand pointed out that the gas imbalance has increased due to attacks on the phases of South Pars and gas refineries, saying: "Due to the severe imbalance, there is a possibility of gas outages in some industries, and this situation will continue until the end of the year."

He added that currently over 3.5 billion cubic meters of diesel and fuel oil have been stored to compensate for the gas shortage in power plants. This imbalance can negatively impact production and industrial activities, highlighting the need for consumption management even more.

Sepahvand also mentioned the increase in gasoline consumption in the last two weeks of Shahrivar, stating that consumption reached over 150 million liters per day, but has now decreased to about 132 million liters per day. However, he emphasized that there is no shortage in gasoline supply, and only some stations are supplying less than the required amount due to violations.

Finally, the spokesperson for the Energy Commission emphasized the necessity of focusing on consumption management and the need for precise planning to address the energy imbalance to prevent further problems during the winter.
