Saba Energy Holding, Heyrbad Power Holding, Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Company, and Sarvestan Gas Refining Company signed a quadrilateral agreement to strengthen production sustainability and optimize energy resource management. This agreement was signed with the aim of developing strategic cooperation in the gas supply chain.
Details of the Agreement and Its Objectives
The aforementioned agreement was concluded in the presence of Ali Panahi, CEO of Saba Energy Holding, Peyman Shahavisi, CEO of Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Company, and the CEOs of Heyrbad Power Holding and Sarvestan Gas Refining Company. In this agreement, the secure and continuous supply of gas required for Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical and other needs of Saba Energy Holding has been determined as the main focus of cooperation between the parties.

Reducing production costs through the utilization of collected flare gases, implementing developmental projects for the collection and processing of flare gases, saving gas and feedstock consumption, and assisting in managing energy imbalance are among the other objectives of this agreement.
The Role of Sustainable Feedstock Supply in Continuity of Production
Peyman Shahavisi, CEO of Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical Industries Company, stated: "Energy imbalance is one of the major challenges facing industries in the country, and establishing sustainable mechanisms for gas supply, alongside utilizing existing capacities in the collection and processing of flare gases, can help maintain production sustainability, reduce costs, and increase efficiency in the petrochemical industry."
He also referred to the cooperation potentials among the participating entities and added: "This agreement provides a basis for synergizing the technical, specialized, and investment capabilities of the parties so that through the development of operational solutions and optimal use of energy resources, the necessary conditions for secure feedstock supply, continuity of production, and implementation of developmental projects for Masjed Soleyman Petrochemical can be strengthened."
Moreover, Shahavisi emphasized the importance of considering environmental considerations and moving towards the development of green petrochemicals as essential for future planning in the industry, stating that this approach can facilitate more responsible utilization of energy resources alongside economic and production goals.
The Importance of Collecting and Processing Flare Gases
One of the key focuses of this cooperation is the development of projects for collecting and processing flare gases, which increases the capacity to create economic value from flare gases by preventing the waste of some gas resources. Utilizing recycled gases can help reduce production costs, improve resource efficiency, and save on gas and feedstock consumption.
Sarvestan Gas Refining Company is also focused on collecting and processing associated petroleum gases and implementing related projects for collecting flare gases, leveraging its technical and engineering capabilities to convert wasted energy resources into economic value.
The signing of this agreement is a step towards developing specialized cooperation and investment in the energy supply chain, strengthening production sustainability in the petrochemical industry, and more effective utilization of the country's gas capacities.
