Navigator Gas has recently signed a new contract with Everllence PrimeServ to convert its two tankers to ethylene engines. This action follows the successful experience of the company with the tanker "Navigator Aurora," which was converted to this technology in 2018.
Contract Details and Conversion Timeline
This contract includes the conversion of the tankers "Navigator Nova" and "Navigator Prominence" to ME-GIE (Gas Injection Ethane) units that comply with IMO Tier II standards. These changes will take place at the COSCO Shipping Heavy Industries (CSHI) workshop in Nantong, China. The first conversion will begin in March 2027, and Everllence PrimeServ will be responsible for executing the project.
