Mostafa Nakhaei, a representative from the Sarbisheh and Nehbandan constituency in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, examined the impact of a new plan being implemented at fuel stations on combating fuel smuggling. He emphasized that the current plan is specifically for identifying free card transactions at the stations and has no relation to the plan for transferring fuel quotas to bank cards.
Distinguishing Between Plans
Nakhaei pointed out that some individuals consider these two plans to be related and stressed: "Identifying transactions on free cards and transferring quotas to bank cards are two completely separate issues." This representative of the Energy Commission of the parliament further discussed the plan to transfer fuel quotas to bank cards and stated that he opposes the implementation of this plan.

He mentioned the reasons for this opposition and stated: "This action could cause serious damage to the country." Nakhaei believes that this plan could lead to an increase in fuel smuggling and disrupt the fuel distribution system.
The Need for Infrastructure Improvement
Nakhaei expressed a positive view of the free card transaction identification plan at fuel stations, stating: "In my opinion, the foundation of this plan is good, although there are some minor issues in its implementation that need improvement." One important point that should be addressed is increasing the transaction limits to reduce waiting times for people at fuel stations.
This representative also referred to the issue of delays in sending SMS codes and added: "In some cases, the code sent for completing the transaction reaches the applicant with a delay." Since this process is conducted online, it is essential that the systems and infrastructure related to sending codes and completing transactions operate efficiently and in coordination to ensure that codes are sent as quickly as possible.
