He added: "In order to ensure energy for the industry and prevent damage to production and employment, we may have to implement some power outages. Cutting off electricity to industries means shutting down production and leaving workers unemployed, which has negative economic consequences."
Efforts to Increase Gas Production Capacity
The First Vice President also referred to the government's plans for solar energy development and stated that the President holds weekly meetings to review the status of energy imbalances. Aref emphasized the importance of ensuring the sustainability of the energy network, stating that all executive agencies are working to achieve the goal of returning 100 million cubic meters of gas to the network.
Furthermore, Aref reviewed the status of the country's gas network and announced that 250 million cubic meters of gas have been removed from the network. He pointed out that "this amount must be quickly returned to the network," noting that the government and all relevant institutions are actively working to achieve their goal.
Aref also stressed the necessity of promoting a culture of energy consumption management and mentioned that some individuals are willing to pay fines but do not reduce their consumption. He clarified that the public needs to be convinced that by conserving energy, they can assist the government.
