Mohammad Nozari, the Governor of Qazvin, raised sustainable fuel and energy supply as a fundamental priority for the cold season during a meeting of the Provincial Passive Defense Council. He stressed the need for executive agencies to be prepared to prevent imbalances and disruptions in service delivery and called for coordination among agencies for energy consumption management.
The Necessity of Energy Consumption Management
Nozari, referring to the predicted weather conditions due to the El Niño phenomenon starting from the beginning of November, stated that energy consumption management and fuel reserve supply should be prioritized. He emphasized that if consumption increases or energy resources are limited, the province must be prepared to avoid facing problems.

Alternative Fuel Supply
The Governor of Qazvin added: "Providing alternative fuel is one of the important issues of passive defense." He urged industrial units to take advantage of the current opportunity to secure and store the fuel they need and to ensure alternative fuel reserves by mid-November. Nozari also emphasized the readiness of health centers, educational institutions, and government offices in this regard.
He asked managers to take necessary measures for fuel storage and alternative energy supply. Nozari further invited the public to participate in gas consumption management, as a simple action at home can have a significant impact on the country's economy. He added: "Reducing the temperature of homes by just one to two degrees can help save about one million and 500 thousand cubic meters of gas."
The Role of Media in Promoting Optimal Energy Consumption
The Governor of Qazvin also referred to the role of media in promoting optimal energy consumption and said: "Media should clarify the connection between household savings, industrial fuel supply, and job preservation." Nozari emphasized that overcoming energy imbalance is not possible solely through government actions and urged the public to make small changes in consumption patterns to significantly contribute to production sustainability.
He concluded by stressing that executives should also take the lead in energy consumption management and reminded the public that every degree reduction in heating device temperature is an opportunity to supply energy to factories and preserve job opportunities.
