Mansour Shakrlahi, a member of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized the importance of changing the management approach to overcome energy imbalance. He said: "Energy management in the current sensitive conditions goes beyond a simple approach in the consumption area; it must be viewed as an interconnected chain that includes the links of production, transmission, distribution, and ultimately consumption." Shakrlahi also referred to the key role of the ministries of Oil and Power in securing the country's energy and added: "Any disruption in this chain targets the economic stability and daily lives of the people."

Need for Long-Term Planning

Shakrlahi continued by referring to the special conditions of the country and the "third imposed war" in the economic and energy sectors, stating: "Continuity of service and sustainable fuel supply for production and transportation sectors is a vital priority." He emphasized that the government has made efforts in this regard, but performance evaluations indicate a need to enhance management standards at the macro level.

The Role of Parliament in Improving Energy Status

A member of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly further considered the supervisory and facilitative role of Parliament important and noted: "The Energy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly is not merely a passive observer; we consider ourselves obliged to remove legal obstacles and resolve production challenges." He is seeking to facilitate the process of energy production and distribution and reduce productivity barriers in this area.

Shakrlahi also emphasized: "Energy management should not be temporary or seasonal. We need a long-term roadmap that includes increasing efficiency in industries and reducing waste in the distribution network to developing modern production infrastructure." He stressed the close cooperation between the government and Parliament to achieve these goals.

In conclusion, Shakrlahi referred to the demands of the people and, while appreciating the government's actions in the areas of production, distribution, and energy supply, stated: "Parliament expects the responsible ministries to seriously pursue their macro plans to overcome imbalances." He, representing the people of deprived areas and southern Kerman, emphasized that they will pursue this path with their supervisory power until results are achieved and energy network stability is reached.
