Mansour Shakrlahi, the representative of the people of South Kerman in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized the necessity of changing the approach to the country's energy management. He stated that energy management is not limited to consumption but encompasses a chain of production, transmission, distribution, and consumption. Shakrlahi stressed that the sustainability of this chain requires cooperation and coordination among all responsible agencies.

Synergy Between the Ministries of Oil and Power

Shakrlahi considered the ministries of Oil and Power as two main entities in supplying the country's energy and added: "Strategic synergy between these two ministries and coordination in policymaking and implementation can address a significant part of the existing challenges in the energy sector."

He pointed out the necessity of managing energy consumption, emphasizing that saving and increasing efficiency should be considered alongside the development of production capacities. Shakrlahi stressed that consumption management can play a significant role in reducing pressure on the grid and overcoming energy imbalances.

Sustainable Fuel Supply and Long-Term Planning

Shakrlahi also referred to the sensitive conditions of the country and deemed sustainable fuel supply for production and transportation sectors essential. He stated: "Continuity of service provision and sustainable energy supply requires long-term planning and upgrading management standards at the macro level."

He explained the role of the parliament in this regard, saying: "The Energy Commission, while overseeing the proper implementation of laws, pursues the removal of legal obstacles, follows up on resource allocation, and coordinates among responsible agencies to ensure that the process of energy production, distribution, and consumption is carried out more efficiently."

Shakrlahi considered energy management to require a long-term roadmap and said: "Increasing efficiency in industries, reducing waste in the distribution network, reforming consumption patterns, and developing energy production infrastructure should be pursued in a comprehensive and coordinated program."

He emphasized: "Overcoming energy imbalances is only possible through targeted actions, and cooperation between the government and parliament, coordination between the ministries of Oil and Power, and public participation in consumption management can create the groundwork for achieving energy network sustainability."
