MacGregor has secured significant contracts to provide advanced marine equipment including deck cranes, transport equipment, and deck machinery for four new oceanographic research vessels. These contracts were registered in the second and third quarters of 2026, with delivery of the equipment starting in 2027 and expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2029.
Details of the Ship Construction
Two of these four vessels will be built at the GONDAN shipyard in Spain for the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany (BSH). The other two vessels will be constructed at Titagarh Naval Systems Limited in India for the Geological Survey of India (GSI).

The scope of equipment supply for the four vessels includes CTD linear winches, wire winches, oceanographic winches, corer winches, monitoring boat davits, CTD davits, deck cranes, A-frames at the stern, ROV telescopic arms, and corer transport systems with corer cages.
