Mohammad Norouzi, the head of the Government Trading Violations Organization in Yazd province, announced that 25,000 liters of smuggled diesel worth 40 billion rials were discovered from a heavy truck in this province. This shipment was sent to the Government Trading Violations Organization for processing after its discovery.
Details of the Diesel Smuggling Case
Norouzi added that the fourth branch specialized in handling commodity and currency smuggling violations of the Government Trading Violations Organization in Yazd County, after reviewing the documents and confirming the violation, sentenced the offender to pay a cash fine of 80 billion and 400 million rials. This fine is equivalent to twice the value of the discovered diesel.

Total Fine and Its Consequences
Considering that the value of the vehicle was more than the value of the discovered fuel, an additional 40 billion rials, equivalent to the value of the fuel, was added to the fine. Thus, the total conviction reached 120 billion and 400 million rials. Norouzi also noted that the issued ruling is in the execution phase and the cash fine has been collected.
The discovered fuel has also been confiscated and arrangements have been made for its return to the legal consumption cycle. This action demonstrates the serious determination of the responsible authorities in controlling and combating fuel smuggling in Yazd province.
