The increase of 6,000 megawatts in the capacity of solar power plants in Iran is considered an important step in managing the energy crisis and reducing blackouts. Hamed Yazdian, a member of the Assembly of Representatives of Isfahan Province, emphasized that the extensive and round-the-clock efforts of managers and specialists in the electricity industry, especially under difficult energy supply conditions, are of great importance.

Crisis Management and Incorrect Predictions

Yazdian, referring to the incorrect predictions of adversaries about the collapse of the electricity network and nationwide blackouts, stated that with proper management and the development of production capacities, the country has been able to overcome this critical situation. He said: "The addition of about six thousand megawatts of solar power capacity this year has created a tall barrier against blackouts." This action demonstrates a serious determination to improve the energy supply situation in the country.

Attention to Renewable Energies and the Necessity of Energy Portfolio Diversification

Yazdian also emphasized the supportive approach of the Islamic Consultative Assembly towards the development of clean energy and added: "The development of renewable energy is a strategic necessity, and the goal set by the Assembly and the government is to reach a capacity of 10,000 megawatts for these power plants by the end of the year." He also noted that the Islamic Consultative Assembly is seriously pursuing the removal of investment barriers in this area and urges the government to prioritize accelerating this process.

According to Yazdian, relying solely on solar energy is not enough, and to ensure greater stability of the electricity network, it is necessary to diversify the country's energy production portfolio. He emphasized the need to move towards the development of wind power plants, the construction of small-scale power plants, and modern technologies.

Reducing Electricity Consumption and the Importance of Optimization

Yazdian pointed out that electricity consumption has decreased by three percent this year compared to last year, attributing this success directly to optimization and smart consumption programs. He added that the Islamic Consultative Assembly has seriously requested the Ministry of Energy to prioritize the complete elimination of imbalance and maximum stability of the electricity network and to support the developmental plans of the electricity industry and knowledge-based companies active in this field.
