Mohammad Jafar Qaem-Makani, the Executive Vice President, inaugurated four industrial and energy projects in East Azerbaijan on Wednesday morning during the twenty-second provincial trip of the government. These projects include a 10-megawatt solar power plant, powder and liquid coating lines, a lost foam casting line, and an industrial parts machining line.
Project Details and Investment
These projects have been implemented with a total investment of 737 billion tomans and 9.3 million euros. The operation of these projects not only increases production capacity but also plays a significant role in reducing energy consumption, improving product quality, lowering production costs, and creating job opportunities.

The 10-megawatt solar power plant has been constructed with an investment of 450 billion tomans and 2.1 million euros and is capable of producing 19,000 megawatt-hours of electricity annually. This power plant will supply about 10 percent of the energy needs of the related industrial group and will help reduce energy imbalance.
Increasing Efficiency and Reducing Waste
The powder and liquid coating lines have been launched with an investment of 84 billion tomans and 1.8 million euros. This project creates job opportunities for 60 people and has the capacity to supply paint needed for 50,000 tractor parts annually. By using new technologies, paint consumption in these lines is reduced by about 40 percent, and productivity will increase by up to 60 percent.
Additionally, by recovering 98 percent of unused paints, waste is reduced, and more efficient use of raw materials is enabled. Improving the quality of painting parts and enhancing the health conditions of workers are other outcomes of this project.
The lost foam casting line has also been inaugurated with an investment of 195 billion tomans and 1.5 million euros. This project creates jobs for 21 people and has an annual production capacity of 8,000 tons of cast parts. The lost foam technology allows for the production of parts with more complex shapes and can reduce the production costs of products.
The new machining line, which has been launched with an investment of 8 billion tomans and 3.9 million euros, creates jobs for 22 people and has an annual production capacity of 18,000 parts. With the operation of this line, the possibility of increasing the production capacity of required parts and improving product quality is provided.
These four projects are part of the efforts to supply a portion of the energy needed for the industrial unit, improve production line technologies, and increase the capacity for manufacturing parts as part of the development plan for manufacturing infrastructure in East Azerbaijan.
