Hossein Izadi, the Director General of the Isfahan Trade Violations Organization, reported on the six-month performance of this organization in combating fuel smuggling. From the beginning of the year 1405 until the end of September, 548 cases related to fuel smuggling valued at 493 billion and 295 million rials have been processed in the branches of the Trade Violations Organization in the province.

Details of Fuel Smuggling Cases

Izadi announced that the cases handled during this period include approximately 30 million liters of subsidized fuel, which includes diesel, gasoline, and other petroleum products. He mentioned the issuance of over 466 billion rials in fines for fuel smugglers and added: After reviewing the cases and issuing final verdicts, the offenders were ordered to pay a total of 466 billion and 528 million rials in fines, in addition to the confiscation of the smuggled fuel.

Implementation of Judgments and Collection of Fines

The Director General of the Isfahan Trade Violations Organization stated that the discovered petroleum products have been handed over to the storage facilities of the oil distribution company in the province after legal procedures. He emphasized the follow-up on the implementation of issued judgments. He added: In the first six months of this year, judgments for 259 cases have been executed, and a total of 364 billion and 604 million rials of cash fines from the convicted have been collected.

Izadi also pointed out that the amounts collected from the implementation of judgments in fuel smuggling cases have been deposited into the government treasury. He clarified that preventing the diversion of subsidized fuel from the legal distribution network is one of the main priorities of this organization.

Violations Related to Subsidized Fuel

The Director General of the Isfahan Trade Violations Organization warned against the illegal buying and selling of allocated fuel and stated: Buying and selling or transferring allocated fuel outside the regulations, providing fuel cards, issuing false bills of lading, and illegally storing petroleum products are among the issues that are addressed according to the laws related to combating smuggling of goods and currency.

He noted that for offenders, punishments including fines and the suspension of fuel allocations are considered based on the type of violation and legal regulations. Izadi emphasized that fuel allocation holders and transportation sector operators must pay attention to the rules of allocation and consumption of fuel.

Considering recent developments in this area, the Isfahan Trade Violations Organization will seriously pursue the handling of fuel smuggling cases and the implementation of issued judgments.
