Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavy emphasized the importance of supporting exporters and removing internal barriers at the thirtieth National Export Day ceremony. He appreciated the presence of government officials and pointed to the key role of exporters in linking the domestic market with foreign customers.

The Role of Exporters in the Country's Trade

Dehghan Dehnavy stated that exporters did not halt trade in the difficult conditions caused by war and sanctions, adding: "This resilience demonstrates the decisive role of exporters in maintaining the flow of trade and the continuity of the country's economic activities." He also referred to the performance of the country's foreign trade in the year 1404, estimating its value at around 52 billion dollars. Despite a decrease compared to previous years, he emphasized the growth of non-oil exports in the industrial and mining sectors.

Developing Trade and Reducing Barriers

The Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade also referred to the 140% growth in the export of technical and engineering services, stating: "This success is the result of the support from the President and the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade." He further discussed the importance of transportation routes in foreign trade, stating: "75% of the country's foreign trade is conducted via sea, but with the efforts of the private sector, alternative routes have been redefined." Dehghan Dehnavy emphasized Iran's capacities in developing trade, noting that by utilizing existing knowledge and capabilities, the volume of the country's trade can be increased.

He also pointed to the rising transportation costs under current conditions and suggested the allocation of appropriate incentives as one of the solutions to compensate for these increased costs. In conclusion, the head of the Trade Development Organization of Iran announced the drafting of 10 proposals to facilitate the export process and expressed hope that by placing these proposals in the decision-making cycle, the process of addressing issues and removing barriers to export development would be expedited.
