Drilling Rig and Water Depth
The water depth at the drilling site is 121 meters, and drilling activities will be conducted using the semi-submersible rig Deepsea Yantai. This rig, built in 2019, is known for its capability in harsh environmental conditions and is currently managed by Odfjell Drilling.
The Deepsea Yantai rig is currently operating in the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS) and is being utilized as part of drilling projects with DNO, Wellesley Petroleum, and Well Expertise. This rig belongs to the Chinese company CIMC and is designed as an advanced rig for deep-sea drilling.
DNO's drilling permit represents the company's commitment to developing oil and gas resources in the North Sea and reflects its effective collaboration with other partners in this field. Given the importance of oil and gas resources in this region, these activities are expected to have a significant impact on Norway's oil industry as well as on global markets.
