1,032,000 liters of smuggled fuel were discovered in Zanjan Province. Seyyed Mohsen Sadeghi, the governor of Zanjan, emphasized the necessity of blocking the routes for essential goods to exit the official network during a meeting of the Planning, Coordination, and Supervision Commission for Combating Smuggling of Goods and Currency in the province.
Analysis of the Source of Fuel Supply
Sadeghi emphasized that effective confrontation with smuggling cannot be achieved solely through the discovery of shipments, and the source of supply, transportation route, and distribution methods of smuggled goods must also be identified. He thanked the police command of Zanjan Province and added: the investigation of this case should include identifying the supply and storage routes as well as how this volume of fuel is sold.

The Necessity of National Will to Combat Smuggling
The governor of Zanjan stated that the formation of national will to combat fuel smuggling is essential, saying: the price difference of fuel in the market compared to the cost of supply for the government is significant, and continuing this trend under the current economic conditions will be difficult. He urged the judiciary and the penal organization to investigate not only the discovered shipment but also the supply and distribution cycle and the source of the fuel exiting the official network.
Sadeghi further emphasized the necessity of controlling the routes of smuggled shipments passing through the province and said: relevant trade unions involved in purchasing and distribution should be informed about the issue of smuggling, and control stations should seriously consider the passage of smuggled shipments. He also called for the development of a technical appendix to examine the change of use of the transportation fleet used in fuel smuggling, requesting this to be approached scientifically and technically in collaboration with universities and higher education centers in the province.
In conclusion, Sadeghi emphasized the need for monitoring the stationery market, especially on the eve of the school reopening, and called for the strict implementation of regulations regarding the purchase, sale, and storage of flour. He also suggested that precise management of fuel consumption patterns in the agricultural sector should be carried out to ensure compliance with the established ceiling.
