The Iranian economy must change course and alter its economic governance model in the context of ongoing war and economic blockade. In this regard, an economist has pointed out the current critical conditions, stressing the need for a new approach and stating that the continuation of the past economic model, based on oil exports and excessive imports, cannot meet the current needs of the country.
The Necessity of Changing the Model
This economist believes that if the current situation continues, the Iranian economy will head towards deeper crises. He stated that choosing the path of resistance and changing the economic governance model is essential for overcoming wartime conditions. In fact, this change in model can be seen as a solution to cope with economic sanctions and the existing challenges at the international level.

Consequences of Continuing the Previous Model
The continuation of the previous model, especially under conditions where sanctions are putting pressure on the country's oil industry, can lead to a severe decrease in oil revenues and consequently a reduction in government financial resources. This situation, in turn, will increase public dissatisfaction and worsen people's living conditions. According to this economist, reliance on oil exports as the sole source of income cannot be considered a sustainable solution.
He also referred to structural economic challenges and emphasized the need to diversify income sources and create the necessary infrastructure for the production and export of non-oil goods. In this regard, economic reforms and transparency in the governance system can help attract domestic and foreign investments.
Ultimately, this economist suggested that given the current conditions, the government should design new strategies for managing its economic and financial resources. These strategies should not only aim to improve the economic situation but also consider the active participation of society and the private sector in the economic process.
