Carnival Corporation set new records in Q3 2026 by achieving revenue of over $8.4 billion and a net profit of $1.9 billion. These results reflect the strength of the cruise industry and the company's ability to overcome global challenges. The management of the company stated that rising demand and strong cost discipline have led to better results than expected.
Increase in Bookings and Value of Holiday Experiences
Carnival Corporation's CEO, Josh Weinstein, referred to the increase in bookings that began in June and continued through the end of the quarter. Despite concerns about the economic situation and geopolitical unrest, he believes that consumers place a high value on holiday experiences. Weinstein mentioned the value that the company's brands provide and noted that they are already half full for 2027. He also announced that 2028 has started with higher occupancy and prices compared to last year.

Cost Management and Impact of Fuel Prices
Carnival Corporation reported a $150 million impact from fuel costs but stated that it was able to offset this issue through strong cost control and improvement in its net profit. Additionally, the company decided to redistribute capacity from planned trips for the Arabian Gulf in Q1 2026. The company has paused the delivery of new ships for this year and plans to resume deliveries next year, with only five new ships registered for the Carnival Cruise Line brand.
It is noteworthy that Carnival Corporation faced strong growth in various sectors in Q3 2026. Significant growth was observed in the "Onboard & Other" segment, indicating travelers' willingness to spend on additional services on board. Furthermore, revenues from the new destination Celebration Key in Grand Bahama and renovations made at two other private destinations, Half Moon Cay and Isla Tropicale in Roatan, contributed to this success.
Looking Ahead and Positive Outlook
As a sign of a positive outlook, Carnival Corporation announced that consumer deposits for future cruises reached their highest level in Q3, increasing nearly seven percent compared to last year. Deposits reached $7.6 billion, setting a new record. Weinstein concluded by saying, "The continued strengthening in our unprecedented booking curve, which has even gone beyond, reinforces our confidence in the durability of demand for cruise lines and the earning power of our business."
