Ayoub Cheraghi, the secretary of the task force against commodity and currency smuggling in Ilam province, announced the prevention of smuggling nearly 9 million liters of fuel per month. This action has been taken by eliminating unconventional fuel licenses for urban fleets and has helped control fuel quotas.

Measures Against Fuel Smuggling

Cheraghi stated on the sidelines of the seventh meeting of the task force for prevention and confrontation of smuggling and off-network distribution of petroleum products held at the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company in Ilam, that the elimination of unconventional fuel licenses has been one of the most successful programs of the task force in controlling and combating fuel smuggling.

He added that this action has prevented the diversion of petroleum products from legal channels and increased oversight of petroleum product consumption. Cheraghi also emphasized the necessity of cooperation among responsible agencies in implementing the 24-article directive to combat fuel smuggling.

Supervisory Programs in the Agricultural Sector

The secretary of the task force against commodity and currency smuggling in Ilam province referred to the supervisory programs for managing fuel consumption in the agricultural sector and stated that the plan to install fuel monitoring devices on agricultural tractors is currently being implemented in cooperation with governors and agricultural jihad managers of the counties. It is expected that all these machines will be equipped with the fuel monitoring system before the end of the year.
