Ahmad Nafisi, the political, security, and social deputy of Hormozgan's governor, announced the allocation of the third gasoline quota to the fuel cards of the citizens of this province during a meeting of the Fuel Smuggling Combat Commission in Hormozgan. This decision was made to facilitate citizens' access to gasoline and to better manage fuel consumption.
Details of the allocation of the third gasoline quota
Nafisi said: "The main directive of this meeting was to follow up on the province's proposal regarding the deposit of a specific amount of gasoline at a rate of 10,000 tomans into the fuel cards of Hormozgani citizens." This proposal was first raised in May of this year but was delayed due to implementation issues. Given the increasing problems related to fuel supply and access, this issue has been placed back on the agenda.

Challenges of fuel supply in Hormozgan
Nafisi also referred to the challenges and long queues at some fuel stations, stating: "Despite various measures, we still witness the formation of queues at some stations, and some citizens do not have easy access to gasoline." He believes that the allocation of the third gasoline quota could be one of the solutions to manage this situation. According to him, this quota allows citizens to manage their gasoline consumption according to their needs throughout the month.
The deputy governor of Hormozgan also emphasized the need to establish specific systems to meet the excess needs of individuals who require more quota. This action is essential to improve the fuel supply situation in the province and reduce existing problems.
Following up Hormozgan's request in Tehran
Nafisi further noted: "The overflow of fuel needs from neighboring provinces to Hormozgan is another important issue." He explained that some citizens from neighboring provinces visit Hormozgan's border towns, such as Rudan and Hajiabad, to benefit from the fuel supply services of this province. In this regard, Hormozgan's request for follow-up in Tehran will be raised this week, and we will await the final decision on this matter.
Nafisi also mentioned the proposed quota amount, stating: "In May, in a letter sent by the governor of Hormozgan, an average for the proposed quota was considered based on the assessments and analyses conducted, which is awaiting approval from the relevant authorities."
