Ahmad Moradi, head of the Electricity Committee of the Energy Commission of the Parliament, stated that saving and consumption management are key strategies to overcome energy imbalance in the cold season, emphasizing the readiness of the country's electricity network. In an interview with Khaneh Mellat, he described the stability of the country's electricity network as favorable and stable, saying: "With the efforts of local engineers and specialists, Islamic Iran is in a state of complete calm and stability."

Planning for Sustainable Electricity Supply

Moradi, referring to the serious challenges of energy supply in many countries in the region, emphasized the importance of consumption management and cooperation from consumers to overcome energy imbalance. He stated that the development of various scenarios for energy supply is on the agenda of the Parliament and executive agencies. He also announced the commencement of the implementation of 60 strategic programs for sustainable electricity supply in the cold seasons.

Transformation in Energy Consumption Management Approach

The representative of Hormozgan in the Parliament, referring to the completion of major repairs of power plants, emphasized the high readiness of production units and said: "Comprehensive measures have been devised for energy production and exchange, which include coordination for electricity imports and reducing exports during peak consumption months, namely December and January." He also referred to monitoring and strengthening the transmission and sub-transmission network in provinces that are under gas stress.

Moradi, highlighting the importance of securing liquid fuel and alternatives for power plants, said: "Extensive preventive measures have been taken, including completing the oil and gas reserves of power plants and finalizing the allocation of winter fuel for emergency generators." He also noted that due to the heavy dependence of the residential sector on gas and the possibility of stress in some areas, necessary arrangements for gas imports are also in place.

In conclusion, Moradi emphasized the necessity of optimizing energy consumption and national cooperation, stating: "Saving and consumption management is the most cost-free and quickest solution to the energy imbalance issue. Reforming consumption patterns and public cooperation will play an irreplaceable role in the sustainability of heat and light flow across the country."
