Abbas Basafa, the director of the intelligent fuel system, announced that the refueling limit with bank cards has been set at 25 liters per transaction. This decision was made as part of the implementation of the "identification" process for refueling and aims to reduce past issues.

Details of the new refueling plan

Basafa explained in a Radio Economy program that using personal fuel cards has caused issues such as forgetting the card and delays at stations. Therefore, the use of bank cards has been designed and implemented as a complementary method. In this plan, individuals can refuel at gas stations using a valid bank card.

After swiping the bank card, a voucher containing a four-digit code is given to the individual, which is used to complete the refueling process. Basafa also emphasized that there is no need to receive a text message or send information via mobile phone for this process, and all steps are completed on-site.

Infrastructure security and fuel consumption management

The director of the intelligent fuel system further stated about the security of the infrastructure of this plan that one of the reasons for designing this method was to create an alternative refueling method and reduce dependence on a single method. This was done to prevent the refueling process from stopping in case of technical, security, or cyber issues.

Basafa also referred to personal fuel cards and stated that these cards remain valid, and their related quotas will be charged according to the established procedures on individuals' fuel cards.

He concluded by discussing the management of diesel consumption and the use of modern technologies to combat fuel smuggling, stating that there are online systems in the oil and gas sector, and the fleet's quotas are charged on vehicle fuel cards based on information and performance sent by the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization and municipalities.
