Acta Marine's CEO, Rob Boer, stated at the ceremony: "Today is a proud milestone for all of us at Acta Marine. Although Acta Hercules is currently successfully supporting its client, Vestas, this naming is an opportunity to recognize the individuals who contributed to the development, construction, and delivery of this tanker."
Technical Specifications and Purpose of the Tanker
Acta Hercules was delivered as the second tanker in the construction program of four new tankers by Acta Marine and is currently dedicated to offshore wind operations for Vestas under a long-term charter contract. This tanker is designed to meet the changing needs of energy transfer and combines operational performance, safety, and crew comfort with technologies supporting lower-emission operations.
Acta Hercules is equipped with dual-fuel methanol engines and an advanced battery energy storage system, reflecting Acta Marine's aspiration for continuous improvement in the sustainability and efficiency of its fleet.
The naming of Acta Hercules marks another step in Acta Marine's long-term growth strategy. The company expects to take delivery of the fourth and final tanker in this series, Acta Aquarius (آکتا آکواریوس), later this year, which will be added to its fleet.
With the delivery of Acta Aquarius, Acta Marine's fleet will include seven specialized service and construction tankers, strengthening the company's position as a leading provider of marine support solutions for the offshore wind industry.
These tankers lay the foundation for a modern, scalable, and increasingly sustainable fleet, enabling Acta Marine to support its clients throughout the complete lifecycle of marine energy projects in Europe.
