Changle Project Specifications
The contract includes project phases from preliminary design to construction, equipment procurement and installation, testing, commissioning, and final acceptance. The Changle project, located near Fuzhou in Fujian Province, is designed to provide transmission infrastructure for 2.1 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity. This project collects electricity from offshore wind developments in the area and transmits it to the shore through a shared export system, rather than relying on separate transmission infrastructure for each wind farm.
Technology and Construction Timeline
The development utilizes 525 kV high-voltage direct current technology and includes a marine conversion station, a land control station, and an underwater DC cable. Additionally, there are plans to establish a 210 MW/420 MWh energy storage system at the land control station. Construction is set to begin at the end of December, with grid connection and commissioning targeted for December 31, 2028. The contract is anticipated for a construction period of 731 days.
