The President of the Tabriz Chamber of Commerce addressed the major problems faced by producers in East Azerbaijan during a recent meeting with the Executive Vice President. These problems include liquidity shortages, energy imbalance, currency commitments, tax pressures, and investment barriers, all of which have negatively affected the economic activities in this region.
Problems Caused by Liquidity Shortages
The President of the Tabriz Chamber of Commerce stated in this meeting that liquidity shortage is one of the main challenges for producers, and many production units are at risk of closure due to lack of access to necessary financial resources. He emphasized that this situation affects not only producers but also employment and the livelihoods of households.
Energy Imbalance and Its Impacts
Energy imbalance was also another important issue raised in this meeting. Producers pointed to the energy shortages and rising costs that have prevented many of them from continuing their activities. This imbalance becomes a serious problem, especially in the cold seasons, and producers noted that the government must take effective measures to address this issue.
In addition, currency commitments and tax pressures were also mentioned as other barriers facing producers. Economic activists from East Azerbaijan called for facilitation in these areas and the creation of suitable conditions for investment and economic growth in the region. The President of the Tabriz Chamber of Commerce emphasized the need for closer cooperation between the private and public sectors to solve these problems at the end of this meeting.
