Lila Global sold a VLCC tanker for $١١٧ million on April ٢٠, ٢٠٢٣, reflecting a significant increase of $٥٦.٥ million compared to its previous purchase price. This tanker, previously known as Kasagisan, was transferred to Lila Global in March ٢٠٢٣ and was subsequently renamed Lila Vadinar.
Previous Sales and Recent Developments
This is the second time Lila Global has sold a VLCC tanker in recent months. In June ٢٠٢٣, the company sold the Lila Kochi tanker, built in ٢٠٠٨, for $٧٩ million after owning it for about a year. This tanker was purchased in May ٢٠٢٥ for $٤٦.٧٥ million. After the sale, the ship was renamed Estonia Prosperity and listed with Sinokor.

Increased Tanker Activities of Lila Global
The tanker sector has increasingly gained importance in Lila Global's activities this year. The company added six new tankers to its fleet in ٢٠٢٦, with its latest purchase, the suezmax tanker Cape Benat, formerly known as Front Loki, costing $٦٢.٥ million. After the purchase, the tanker was renamed Renat, and according to VesselsValue sales registration, its market value is estimated at $٧٤.٤ million.
Given these developments, it seems that Lila Global is becoming one of the key players in the tanker market, and these successes could contribute to an increase in market share and strengthen the company's position in the maritime industry.
