Shiraz University will participate in the second international exhibition "Shiraz Expo 1405" from October 11 to 16, 2026, with the aim of strengthening the connection between the university and industry and identifying the real needs of the production sector. This exhibition will be held at the Fars International Exhibition Center in Golestan Town, Shiraz, and is considered an opportunity to introduce the economic and production capacities of Fars province.

Introducing Scientific and Technological Capabilities

The Director of Investment and Research Marketing at Shiraz University, Mahmoud Naseri, stated that the philosophy behind the university's presence at this exhibition goes beyond a symbolic display, and that real capacities and the potential to turn them into products, services, technology, and knowledge export should be introduced. He emphasized that Shiraz University, as one of the scientific hubs in southern Iran, plays a significant role in training specialized human resources and developing knowledge.

Naseri added: "The university's presence at Shiraz Expo is an opportunity to introduce the scientific and human capacity of the university and connect it with industry, economy, and domestic and international markets." He also mentioned the presence of six knowledge-based companies at the university's booth, which operate in areas such as health, dietary supplements, polymers, energy, and oil, gas, and petrochemicals.

Developing Trade and Export Relations

The Director of Investment and Research Marketing emphasized that the main goal of this exhibition is not just to introduce products, but to ensure that this presence leads to the formation of trade relations and real export opportunities. He further announced the holding of a series of "Short Circuit Wednesdays" sessions alongside this exhibition, aimed at identifying the issues and challenges of industries and turning them into research topics.

The third edition of the job and career guidance exhibition of Shiraz University will also take place at the same time to create a direct connection between students and graduates with industries and organizations in need of specialized workforce. This exhibition helps industries identify and attract talents and introduces students and graduates to real job market opportunities.

In conclusion, Naseri said: "The university's presence at Shiraz Expo should be viewed in a broader perspective. The goal is not merely to introduce a few products at a booth; rather, it is to present the university as one of the scientific, technological, and problem-solving capacities of the province and to create a connection between knowledge, technology, industry, and market."
