Sea Machines Robotics, a leader in autonomous maritime technology, expands its leadership team with the appointment of Courtney Bradbury as Vice President of Program Management. This new role is dedicated to the management and delivery of large autonomous vessel programs.

Team Expansion and New Hiring

Bradbury will quickly expand the new program planning group by hiring project-focused personnel, marine engineers, and construction management specialists. This move reflects a shift in demand from the emerging innovation market in autonomy to the growing acceptance of technology that stimulates budgeted fleet programs.

Advancements in Maritime Testing

In September 2026, Sea Machines was one of six companies to successfully complete the most challenging autonomous maritime demonstration test to date for the United States Navy. This success transitioned the company into the medium unmanned surface vessel market, which the Navy has described as a strategic shift in maritime procurement. This shift is rapidly implementing unmanned technologies using existing and mature commercial solutions.

Bradbury stated, "Michael's vision for maritime autonomy and the establishment of Sea Machines over a decade ago has given the company an opportunity to get ahead of the learning curve." She added, "Experience in integration among a wide range of engine manufacturers and navigation systems has allowed this system to be resilient against the largest equipment set in the maritime industry, rather than being built for just one type of vessel or a specific use case."

Transformation in Autonomous Vessel Supply

Sea Machines is rapidly transforming from a supplier of autonomous systems to a supplier of autonomous vessels. The newly created department brings additional capabilities that allow for the effective execution of large vessel construction programs through advanced shipbuilding techniques, supply chain management, and robust program-level management.

Bradbury concluded, "We are completing the transition from a technology supplier to an autonomous vessel supplier, and this new department will help us successfully implement large vessel construction programs."
