Oil exports from the Khark oil terminal increased by 10% during the 40-day war. Abbas Asadrouz, the CEO of Iran's Oil Terminals Company, pointed out that the main reason for this increase was the tireless efforts of the staff and effective management in crisis conditions.

Strategic Position of Khark Oil Terminal

The Khark oil terminal, as the largest oil terminal in Iran, receives, stores, and exports about 93% of the country's crude oil. Asadrouz emphasized that the facilities of this company are classified as critical infrastructure due to their position in the oil export chain and must always be in the best possible condition.

He also referred to the company's modernization plans, stating: "In the past year or two, 500 million euros have been allocated for various projects in the areas of pipelines, storage tanks, and export docks." These plans include major repairs of seven to eight tanks with a capacity of 1.5 million barrels and repairs of the eastern and western docks of the Khark oil terminal.

Experience of War and Staff Morale

The CEO of Iran's Oil Terminals Company emphasized the role of staff in the continuity of oil industry activities, saying: "The experience of eight years of sacred defense has instilled a spirit of courage and resilience in various generations of oil industry workers." He noted that during the eight years of sacred defense, Khark was targeted multiple times, but the staff continued their work with bravery and valor.

Asadrouz continued: "In the recent war, despite 548 hits, the staff of the Khark oil terminal managed to export 70 million barrels of oil from the country. This success demonstrates the determination and will of the staff in the face of threats." He also stated that the average oil exports from Khark during the 40-day war were about 10% higher than the period before the war.

In conclusion, Asadrouz emphasized the importance of management presence and reducing the gap between decision-making and execution, stating: "This allows for a quick response to changing and complex threats."
