Formation of a Joint Committee on Persian Language and Literature

The First Vice President of Iran stated that the establishment of a high joint committee on language, literature, culture, and Persian civilization could help preserve and protect the shared heritage of the two countries. In this meeting, Aref and Rahmon emphasized the creation of a union of Persian-speaking countries and regions, the establishment of centers to commemorate Nowruz, the launch of an Aryan civilization center, and the revival of the Niyakan alphabet in Tajikistan.

Growth of Bilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation

Aref further pointed to the 50% growth in the volume of bilateral trade between Iran and Tajikistan compared to last year, stating: "Despite obstacles, including the imposed war against Iran, we are witnessing this increase." The First Vice President also emphasized the necessity of developing scientific, technological, cultural, and tourism cooperation and announced Iran's readiness to collaborate in oil and gas exploration activities, petrochemical industries, and the export of oil and gas products. Aref evaluated Rahmon's proposed plan for creating an energy corridor from South Pars to Afghanistan and Tajikistan as positive and constructive.

Utilizing the Capacities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization

Aref, referring to the capacities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, considered this organization an important opportunity to link regional security and stability with economic development. He added: "Iran and Tajikistan can have closer cooperation within this organization in the areas of transit corridors, border security, and combating terrorism and drug trafficking."
